Office Assistant Volunteer
Job Description
Title: Office Assistant Volunteer
Reports to: Office Manager – Jody Campbell – jody.campbell@habitatlane.org
Schedule: Work days are Monday-Friday 9 am to 4 pm. Flexibility on when you want to volunteer.
Time Commitment: Volunteers are encouraged to at least 2 hours per shift.
Where: Habitat office – 1210 Oak Patch Road, Eugene, Oregon 97402
Orientation: Orientation provided by Volunteer Coordinator on scheduled date and training provided by Office Manager on first day of service.
Qualifications:
- Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end filing needs
- Generate and send out letters and account statements
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly mailing needs
- Use the eTapestry database for data entry and clean-up
- Process volunteer waivers and log volunteer hours
- Create and maintain hard copy and electronic filing system as requested
- Organize mortgage files
- Assist with scanning needs
- Research projects and other duties as necessary
Responsibilities:
- Available a minimum of 2 hours per week
- MS Word, MS Excel and general computer proficiency
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to process extensive amount of information
- High attention to detail when reviewing financial documents
- 16 years and older
